Privacy Policy
AntiqueIQ (“the App”) is published by Eleutheromania. This policy explains what information the App handles, why, and what we do not do. It applies to the iOS and Android apps and to the AntiqueIQ API at antique.glpmate.me.
1. Short version
- We do not ask for your name, email, or a login.
- We do not sell personal data and we do not run advertising trackers in the App.
- We use product analytics (Amplitude) to understand how the App is used. It is tied to your anonymous account, not to your name, and is not used for advertising.
- Photographs you choose to appraise are sent to our servers so we can identify the piece and look up comparable sales.
- Subscription purchases are handled by Apple or Google; we receive entitlement status, not your full payment card details.
2. Information we process
Device and installation identifiers. On first launch the App obtains an anonymous session from our servers. We store an installation identifier and, where the platform supports it, a device-attestation proof (Apple App Attest / Google Play Integrity). These exist to issue sessions, enforce free-appraisal limits, and reduce abuse. They are not used to build an advertising profile.
Photographs and notes you submit. When you capture or pick a photograph (and optionally a close-up of a maker’s mark or a short condition note), that content is uploaded so we can run identification and valuation. Images may be stored in object storage associated with your anonymous account for the appraisal and your collection.
Appraisal and collection data. Identifications, value ranges, comparable-sale references, guidance text, and pieces you save live with your anonymous account so they can be shown again on this device and, when you are online, refreshed.
Subscription status. If you subscribe, Apple App Store or Google Play processes the payment. We receive purchase / restore events (via our billing partner) so the App can unlock Collector features. We do not receive your full card number.
Notifications (optional). If you allow notifications, a push token may be registered with our notification provider so we can send messages you have opted into. You can revoke permission in system settings at any time.
Product analytics. The App sends usage events to our analytics provider, Amplitude: app opens and sessions, screens and features used (for example starting an appraisal or viewing the plans screen), and subscription purchases with their product and price. These events carry your anonymous account identifier and a device identifier generated for the App (not the advertising identifier), along with basic device and app details such as model, OS version, language and app version. Amplitude derives an approximate location (country, region, city) from the IP address of the request; we do not collect precise location. Analytics data is not used for advertising, is not combined with data from other companies’ apps or websites, and is not shared with data brokers.
Diagnostics. Servers keep operational logs (for example request timing and error codes) needed to run and secure the service. We do not log photograph bytes in application logs.
3. How we use information
- To identify objects, search comparable sales, and produce appraisals and guidance.
- To enforce free and paid quotas and to unlock features you have paid for.
- To keep your collection available on the device that owns the session.
- To prevent fraud, spam, and unauthorized use of paid AI and market data.
- To operate, debug, and improve reliability of the service.
- To understand, in aggregate, which features are used and where people drop off, so we can improve the App.
4. Legal bases (where applicable)
Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we process this information because it is necessary to provide the service you request (contract), to protect the service against abuse and to understand and improve the App through product analytics (legitimate interests), and, for optional notifications, based on your consent.
5. Processors and third parties
Depending on the feature, processing may involve:
- Cloud infrastructure and object storage hosting the API and uploaded images.
- AI vision / language providers used to read photographs and draft guidance (images and necessary context are sent for that purpose).
- Market / comparable-sale sources queried with derived search terms, not with your identity.
- Adapty (and Apple / Google) for subscription offers, purchase, and restore.
- Notification delivery if you enable notifications.
- Amplitude for product analytics (usage events, sessions, and approximate location derived from IP address).
These parties process data only to provide their service to us, under agreements that restrict other uses where we control the relationship.
6. Retention
Analytics events are kept by Amplitude under the retention settings of our analytics project; deletion requests (below) cover them too. Session and appraisal data are kept while your anonymous account remains active and useful for the product (for example so a saved piece can be opened again). You can delete individual pieces from the collection in the App. You may request deletion of server-side data associated with your installation by contacting us (see below); we will delete or anonymize what we control, except records we must keep for security, fraud prevention, accounting, or legal obligations.
7. Children
AntiqueIQ is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
Access to appraisal APIs requires a session. Sensitive routes additionally require platform attestation where configured. Transport to our API uses HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; we work to protect the systems we operate.
9. Your choices
- You can use the camera or photo library only when you choose to appraise something; you can also pick an existing photo.
- You can dismiss the plans screen and use the free appraisal(s) the App offers before subscribing.
- You can restore purchases, manage or cancel a subscription in the App Store or Google Play account settings, and turn off notifications in system settings.
- Offline mode, where available, limits new network appraisals while keeping local records.
10. International transfers
Our servers and processors may be located outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change, and material changes will be reflected in the App or on this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
